Luca Arnaboldi, the Managing Partner of Carnelutti Studio Legale Associato, has been with the firm since the beginning of his career. His practice focuses on complex M&A and finance transactions, including within the real estate and media sectors.

Stefano Azzali is Secretary General of the Milan Chamber of Arbitration and President of the International Federation of Commercial Arbitration Institutions (IFCAI). He also acts as Director of the Institute for the Promotion of Arbitration and Conciliation in the Mediterranean (ISPRAMED).
He is a visiting professor in Arbitration Law at Bocconi University – School of Law in Milan and Fellow at the Centre for Transnational Litigation and Commercial Law, New York University, School of Law.

Stefano Simontacchi has been Co-Managing Partner of BonelliErede since May 2013 and has recently been nominated Advisor to the Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Ministry for Africa and the Mediterranean Region.

Corrado Passera

Corrado Passera graduated in 1977 in Business Administration at the Bocconi University in Milan. He then studied at the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania) between 1978 and 1980 and was awarded a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
He started his professional career in 1980, when he joined the advisory firm McKinsey & Co, working both in Italy and abroad, where he reorganized and relaunched banking, insurance and service companies. In 1992, he became the Co-Managing Director of the Olivetti Group and in 1996 he headed Banco Ambroveneto. He was called to join Poste Italiane as CEO in 1998. He then returned to banking in 2002 as Managing Director and CEO of IntesaBci, the banking group resulting from the merger of Banca Intesa and Banca Commerciale Italiana. In 2006, he assisted in the merger between Banca Intesa and San Paolo IMI, which created Intesa Sanpaolo, of which he later became the Managing Director and CEO. In November 2011, he was invited to join the cabinet of the Monti Government as Minister of Economic Development, Infrastructures and Transport. At the end of the parliamentary term in 2013, he ended his term in office. From June 2015, he dedicated himself to a Milan relaunch project aimed at making Milan one of the most dynamic metropolitan European cities, albeit choosing to refrain from running in the administrative elections. In 2006, the Italian President of the Republic awarded him the Knight of Industry medal, an honorary award for industry leaders. He is a member of various advisory boards, including the McKinsey Advisory Council and has been a Board Member of various listed companies (including Finmeccanica and Crédit Agricole in Paris), and non-profit institutions (Bocconi University, Scuola Normale Superiore di Pisa, La Scala Foundation, Cini Foundation, International Business Council of the World Economic Forum in Geneva, Wharton School, and International Institute of Finance in Washington). Thomas Clay is a Professor at the Sorbonne Law School (Paris 1 University) where he teaches arbitration and international dispute settlement. He worked for a long time at the University of Versailles, where he founded and directed the LL.M. in “International Arbitration and Business Law” in collaboration with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC). Thomas Clay is also a lawyer (Paris Bar) and he manages the firm Clay Arbitration Office.
Over the years, Professor Clay acted in over 70 international arbitrations, mainly as arbitrator under the auspices of virtually all major arbitration institutions: ICC, ICSID, and UNCITRAL Rules, and in different jurisdictions.
